Hello! I’m Vishala Ramswami – business student, incurable contrarian and enquiring spectator of world affairs.

I’m reluctant to affiliate myself with a rigidly-defined political viewpoint: egalitarianism, social mobility and gender equality are principles that I am passionate about; I am highly sceptical about the effectiveness of the neoliberal trickle-down yet I believe that some degree of free market economy is essential for meaningful progress. I find myself agreeing most with models of development that combine the competitive forces of Capitalism with the distributive equality of a welfare state.
